Go̠l Fru Ner (/go̠l/ /fru/ [yellow] [siege]) is a subtropical Town located in the Depi Vadiz̄ema Diocese of the Covenent of Irus.

The name Go̠l Fru Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Go̠l Fru Ner was founded by Felfui Pherierzoth, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Go̠l Fru Ner has a yearly average temperature of 35°C (95°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a blistering 39°C (102°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a hot 31°C (87°F). Go̠l Fru Ner receives an average of 67 cm/y (26 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Go̠l Fru Ner was founded durring the late 13th century in spring of the year 1182, by Felfui Pherierzoth. The establishment of Go̠l Fru Ner was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Felfui Pherierzoth struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Go̠l Fru Ner as a prison colony.

Go̠l Fru Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Go̠l Fru Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Go̠l Fru Ner is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt gravel streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Go̠l Fru Ner's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The town's boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Go̠l Fru Ner is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Go̠l Fru Ner has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Go̠l Fru Ner.

Go̠l Fru Ner possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Go̠l Fru Ner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Go̠l Fru Ner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Go̠l Fru Ner has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Go̠l Fru Ner is home to a distinct subculture, who are either the majority here or have the dominant positions in the community. Architecture, local laws, and social customs are all tuned to suit them, and they may not be particularly forgiving or friendly to the major culture of the region. Communities that are not outright independent usually make an arm's-length submission to a local lord.

Go̠l Fru Ner's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.
